SKADIS Magnet Installation Instructions
Thank-you for purchasing our SKADIS compatible magnets! These magnets utilize a T-slot anchoring design to ensure robustness. See below for installation instructions.
- Once you receive your order, you will notice that a bolt through the front of the magnet. The bolt runs into a nut that is captured in a ‘T’ shaped piece.
- Ensure that the top of the ‘T’ nut is away from the magnet, with the bottom leg of the ‘T’ toward the magnet.
- Ensure that there is about 5.5mm between the ‘T’ shape and the magnet back.
- (Back the magnet off the bolt till it reaches the end of the bolt. Maximum space between the Top of ‘T’ and the back of the magnet.)
- Inset the nut into the SKADIS pegboard slot, make sure the two nubs in the back are inserted into the slot as well
- Hold the magnet tightly with one hand, using the supplied tool (1.5mm Hex Allen key, though a 1.5mm screwdriver makes it a bit easier), tighten the bolt on the magnet
- The T-slot nut will rotate 90 degrees and tighten against the pegboard.
- Continue tightening until the magnet is tight to the pegboard.
- If the magnet is loose and the T-nut is not engaging, un-screw the magnet slightly until the top of the capital ‘T’ is behind the pegboard. Then repeat step 5.
